SEO Knowledge Through Research and Testing
Below is an infographic I’ve created to showcase my current SEO strategy
In March 2020 I started a month long blog series called “17 Way to Be a Better Artist.” I wrote a new blog every other day to teach producers ways in which they can improve upon being a better artist.
The goal of this blog series was to improve the amount of traffic to my website over the entire month of March.
Not only did I want to improve overall traffic, but I wanted to keep traffic consistent.
Below you will see my reports from the previous year of March, the month before I started the blog series, and the month after I finished the blog series.
You can see my comparisoon from January 30th to February 29th, and March 1st to March 31st.
As you can see, I had a total increase in new traffic by 85%
In this image, I’m comparing my previous year in March where I only had 57 total new users throughout the month. Whereas, in March of 2020 I had an 357% increase in new traffic.
The significant difference between these two periods was the fact that I started to drive up the amount of content I was creating from May 2019 to today.
Here is the comparison from March 2020, when I started my blog series, to the month of April 2020, after I was finished.
These were the statistics that I was interested in the most. My goal wasn’t just to drive traffic, but to maintain a consisten number of traffic.
Throughout March, I tried improving on my SEO skills and tactics, and I think it thouroughly paid off.
I also noticed that my bounce rate dropped an entire 17% in the month of April. This tells me that I’m targeting the right audience and they are engaged with the content I’m creating.
I’ve included the articles that I was writing throughout the month of March, for your reference. Please see below.

Below are examples of previous and current ads I’m running to capture e-mails through a lead funnel
Above are 2 ads that I was running for a total of 4 days. I ran these ads with a budget of about $1/day. I spent a total of $15 and generated 20 link clicks.
Due to me having such a small ad budget and using my personal fund, Facebook was not able to pick a winner for this experiment.
However, based on the experiment, I determined that the ad on the right had the most success with 12 link clicks at $0.46 per click.
Between these 2 ads, I ended up with 14 e-mails, nearly every person that clicked on my ad, signed up for my e-mail list.
I used Sendowl to deliver my product, and capture e-mails. Whenever someone was checking out, I included a $20 upsell of an additionaln product. I managed to collect 1 upsell, which gave me a $5 profit after subtracting the cost of my ads.
Below are the analytics of the e-mails captured through Sendowl.
Below are the current ads I’m running after determining my winning ad. I’ve now adjusted the image title of the ad on the right as well as the headline. I’ve increased my daily budget to $2/day and extended the length of the experiment to 10 days.
